A note on optimism by Bill Gates

Bill Gates serves as first guest editor of TIME magazine for the January 18 edition and gives us reason to begin the year inspired.  Writing on optimism, the Microsoft Co-founder and Founder/Co-Chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation notes "Being an optimist doesn’t mean you ignore tragedy and injustice. It means you’re inspired to look for people making progress on those fronts, and to help spread that progress more widely."Read the full editor's note here. Image credit: TIME magazine
